This workshop is designed for yogis wanting to gain a deeper understanding of specific asana. We begin with a brief overview of which distinct movements and energetic actions are required for the chosen pose. From there we move through warm-ups and preparatory poses to prepare the body for the apex asanas. Precise bio-mechanical and energetic techniques are integrated in order to optimally strengthen and open your body. The functional approach to this workshop ensures you a path of opportunity to explore more intermediate to advanced poses, and interesting variations you wouldn't get to play with in a regular weekly class.This extended class will utilize and enhance your strength and flexibility leaving you feeling empowered and refreshed. The only prerequisite is the desire to experiment and develop your practice. It is highly recommended you have a healthy base knowledge of asana. Class ends with a sweet, rewarding savasana.
