Malcolm X Academy for Afrikan Education presents Asali Nights, every third Friday of 2025, launching January 17th.

Asali Nights is a creative platform for all mediums of expression. Established to create a safe space of liberating expression and inspiration for ALL Afrikan and Indigenous people moving through love. The space welcomes all community to express, receive inspiration, and build with a zero tolerance policy of hate, misogyny, sexism, racism, transphobia, homophobia, colorism, negativity, and any other forms of oppression. First Fridays Open expression is still in full effect!

โAsali Nightsโ is a commemoration dedicated to Ms. Asali Dickson. Ms. Asali is a member of the Original Black Panther Party, and was the solo woman graphic artist for the Black Panther Newspaper between 1972-1974. She was an educator at the Pantherโs Oakland Community School which laid roots for @916mxa
