Please join us for the premiere of the Asahel Curtis Collection documentary a collaboration between the Washington State Historical Society and Cascade PBS.
This screening offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the Washington State Historical Society’s efforts to preserve digitize and share 60000 images from the renowned Pacific Northwest photographer Asahel Curtis and what we have learned from them.
Join us before the screening for refreshments a preview of artifacts from the WSHS Asahel Curtis Collection and a chance to visit with the Puget Sound Photographic Collectors Society to learn more about historical photography. After the screening don’t miss a conversation with writer and host of the award-winning Cascade PBS show Mossback’s Northwest Knute Berger and WSHS head of collections Margaret Wetherbee as they share their reflections on this project.
