This Live-Streamed event features an intimate conversation between Charles Finch and Anthony Browder. During this evening Browder will interview Finch, and then Finch will interview Browder. These two international scholars met at the Nile Valley Conference at Morehouse College in 1984, and they have been colleagues and friends ever since. Aftertheir initial meeting Browder sponsored presentations in Washington, DC, featuring Finch lecturing with Ivan Van Sertima, Theophile Obenga and other distinguished scholars.
Finch wrote the Foreword to Browder’s 2011 publication, Finding Karakhamun, and has visited the ASA Restoration Project excavation site in Luxor, Egypt on several occasions. In the fall of 2011 Finch and Browder organized the Nile Valley Conference II at Atlanta University and Morehouse College. They are currently making plans for a Nile Valley III Conference in the near future.
This Brother 2 Brother, II Live-Streamed event affords an international audience the opportunity to witness a conversation between two friends who have worked with some of the most important scholars of the 20th and 21st centuries.
This memorable evening will feature a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear Finch and Browder discuss Brotherhood, Peoplehood, Culture and their work documenting the history of Africans in the Nile Valley and around the globe.
