Manchán Magan is an acclaimed writer and documentary maker. His live shows have been a storming success selling out venues throughout Ireland. This show was produced in association with Dublin’s famous Abbey Theatre and it is on its first tour of Britain supported by Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs.
Join us for a unique theatrical performance. Manchán cooks a traditional loaf whilst offering insights into the wonders of the Irish language – exploring potent words of landscape, terms of intuition and insight, and the many phrases that bring to life the mysterious glory of our natural world. A celebration of language, land and local Irish food, with freshly-baked bread for the audience to slice and spread with butter we will be churning ourselves from Irish cream. Knowledge of Irish is not required!
