ArtZeum: Color Your World Art Activity Exhibit for Kids of All Ages is open June 16 – August 11 at the Kemp Center for the Arts. Our FREE annual interactive children’s arts exhibit includes multiple interconnected stations where kids can learn about the arts through play and hands-on activities. Each year our staff selects a new theme, allowing us to create new experiences for participants. This year’s theme is all about color!ArtZeum: Color Your World also includes an exhibit of work by contemporary fine art photographer Adrien Broom. Designed to evoke and capture a sense of childhood fantasy, A Colorful Dream tells a simple coming-of-age story in rich symbolic language that takes the viewer on a journey through the entire spectrum of the rainbow. The exhibit features a suite of photographs, some of them large in scale, detailing a young girl’s journey as she discovers a series of monochromatic fantasy worlds exploring the rich hues and associations that we have with every color in the spectrum.
ArtZeum is a component of our galleries and education programming. As such, it is open free of charge to all visitors. In 2021 our goal is to continue partnership with several local arts and children’s organizations, helping to bring a wider audience to the exhibit.
