Presenter: Anna Sabalone, Upper Lake High School Visual Arts Teacher, Professional Artist, and Dean of students
Introduction to core Visual and Performing Arts Standards (VAPA).
In this 3 hour workshop, teachers will become familiar with the VAPA standards, the VAPA Framework, and how to use a scaffolded approach to using the VAPA standards to engage students through cross-curricular lesson plans as a part of arts integrated learning. All art materials will be provided during the training.
Session Format: One day hands-on activities designed to increase comfort levels around using the arts to promote learning.
