About this Event
Join us for an unforgettable evening of harmony and healing as we bring
together the soothing melodies of jazz with the rejuvenating power of sound
baths and throat chakra release. Our event aims to enhance community
health and well-being by providing a unique experience that combines the
healing properties of music and mindfulness.
Led by Quiana Lynell, who has written the anthem Baton Rouge, for this
city that she has called her home for almost 20 years, in conjunction with
the theme of "No Place Like Home." Through the universal language of
music, we will create a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone
can come together to relax, unwind, and rejuvenate near the scenic
waterways and greenery of
The evening will begin with a soulful performance, setting the stage for an
immersive experience. As the music fills the air, participants will be invited
to engage in gentle movements and breathing exercises to help release
tension and promote relaxation.
Following the performance, participants will be guided through a sound bath
experience, where the soothing sounds of singing bowls and other
instruments will wash over them, encouraging a deep sense of calm and
tranquility. This therapeutic practice has been shown to reduce stress,
alleviate anxiety, and promote overall well-being.
In addition to the sound bath, our event will also include a special
component focused on throat chakra release. The throat chakra is
associated with communication, self-expression, and creativity, and by
incorporating techniques such as chanting and vocal toning, participants
will have the opportunity to unblock and balance this energy center,
allowing for greater clarity and expression.
At the heart of our project is the belief that arts and wellness should be
accessible to everyone. Thanks to the support of the micro-grant, we will
be able to offer this transformative experience free of charge, ensuring that
it is accessible to all members of our community.
By bringing together the healing power of jazz music, sound baths, and
throat chakra release, we hope to foster a sense of connection, belonging,
and well-being within our community. This journey toward greater harmony
and healing will engage with the theme of "Arts for Everybody" because
everyone deserves to experience the transformative power of creativity
through sound.
