The foundry is a free series of arts entrepreneurship workshops and talks led by our faculty and staff on portfolio building resume and cover letter writing branding self-promotion and marketing contracts and more! The Northern Colorado Center for Arts Entrepreneurship connects UNC Arts to the surrounding northern Colorado community through speakers workshops and career-growing experiences.

Northern Colorado Center for Arts Entrepreneurship Founders:
Violinist Dr. Sarah Off has established herself as an innovative and passionate performer and educator. Her performances have been described as “receiving rapturous reception” (The Times – London) “brilliant and seamless with great focus” (AZ State Press) and “intuitively talented” (Bridge Initiative). Her diverse and multi-faceted performance career have included collaborations and performances with the Arizona Contemporary Music Ensemble, Oh My Ears New Music Festival, Epik Dance Company, Tempe Center for the Arts Theater Company, Crested Butte Music Festival, the Brentano and Orion String Quartets among many others. In addition to her performance career, Sarah currently serves as Assistant Professor of Violin and Music Business and Director of the Center for Arts Entrepreneurship at the University of Northern Colorado. As an educator, Sarah works to ensure students enter the field of music as fully equipped, well-rounded, skilled musicians and entrepreneurs. Dr. Rand Harmon founded and has produced UNC’s StART Student Arts Salons from 2016-2020. For the 2022-2023 StART Salons, Hardy and Dr. Off joined him as co-producer. On October 14, 2022, Drs. Harmon and Off and Hardy inaugurated the Center for Arts Entrepreneurship’s Day of Art, featuring student performance and visual art at five venues around campus and downtown Greeley.
Praised by The New York Times for composing “omnipresent music” and playing “the violin superbly,” Dr. Edward W. Hardy is a critically acclaimed Black and Puerto Rican composer, music director, virtuoso violinist, and violist. While remaining dedicated to arts education and creative entrepreneurship, Dr. Hardy is the founder of the Omnipresent Music Festival, the co-founder/past senior director of operations of the Northern Colorado Center for Arts Entrepreneurship, and the previous digital marketing director and artistic advisor of the Beethoven in the Rockies Concert Series. In 2024, Dr. Hardy holds a Doctor of Arts degree in violin performance from the University of Northern Colorado. Dr. Hardy has research in non-traditional string techniques and beyond his history of premiering contemporary works, his dissertation, "A Compendium of Three Musical Works Inspired by the African American Experience: Recordings, Commentary, and Pedagogical Observations," and his children’s coloring book, “Color the Legacy: A Coloring Book of African American Cultural Pioneers” was published on Juneteenth 2024. www.edwardwhardy.com
