About this Event
We are delighted to partner with ArtFund once again this year to present an exciting series of Curators’ Day events, designed to create a vibrant and informal space for curators across the UK to come together, exchange ideas and gain fresh perspectives.
With four upcoming events, each one focusing on a unique theme, these sessions will offer valuable insight on various aspects of curatorial practice. You’ll have the opportunity to visit key exhibitions and hear directly from leading artists, curators and experts in the field.
Our first event in the series will take place on 28 November, 2024 at The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, where we will explore their exhibition Glenn Ligon: All Over The Place and visit the Wysing Art Centre. Together, we’ll discuss how artists engage with historic collections, reimagining them to inspire new interpretations and influence museum practices. Key topics will include acquisition and exhibition strategies, the impact of artist interventions, and how contemporary art can spark meaningful conversations with historical works.
