About this Event
In this artist talk, Tanabe Chikuunsai IV, Sawako Kaijima and Kensuke Koike discuss their artistic practice, focussing on recent works on display in their current exhibition 'de/re CONSTRUCT' at Cromwell Place. Working in different artistic media and contrasting styles, their fascinating works all explore ideas of artistic heritage, linking the past with the present and creating new dialogues between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary art. The talk will be chaired by Dr Lena Fritsch, curator at the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford, and an expert in contemporary Japanese art.
