About this Event
Artists Together
Conversations about…
These regular events throughout the year are themed around an idea that is important to artists who attend regularly and hopefully are useful to people who just wish to join us for the one session.
We identify artists with relevant skills or experience on the subject and ask them to be peer-experts alongside someone from a regional organisation to create a rich space where artists can discuss, share and develop their practice.
If you have a suggestion for a theme for a future ‘Conversations about…’ event, please get in touch with us.
Conversations about…Commissions will include Patrick Kirk-Smith who will share information about Liverpool Independents Biennial that takes place June - September 2025, conversations may include commission opportunities available, how artists have created work with the support of commissions from organisations and ways that creatives find support to make their artworks.
About Patrick Kirk-Smith
Patrick is Editor Art in Liverpool Newspaper and Director of Independents Biennial (developing opportunities for North West artists). His focus through all elements of creative practice is on language and accessibility, making sure all parts of the art world are accessible to people without any experience of it.
