In this sculpture class you’ll explore different metalworking techniques in a safe and fun environment. These include, cutting, fixing (including welding) and forming metal, depending on the design you choose. This class is a logical choice if you are a previous welding student or existing hobbyist who wants to expand your artistic and practical skill base. Novices who want a safe “taste” of metalwork, are also encouraged to participate. The focus is on upcycling metal objects into sculptural creations for the home and garden.What to bring:
- Refreshments, lunch and minimum 1-2 litres of drinking water/ beverage
- Wear work boots, steel capped if you have them
- Wear long cotton drill or denim pants or overalls, no shorts ¾ length nor frayed cuffs
- Bring long sleeved thick cotton "overshirt" (flannelette cotton ok) and wear cotton T-shirt or tank top
- NB: Clothing is likely to get dirty
Tie up long hair and trim nails to 5mm maximum length
