DJ Anthony Hornof embraces recent advances in DJ technology, such as how a careful beatgridding of house classics from the 1980s permit mixes and live performances that were unimaginable back in the 80s. Listen closely to his mixes. They are like nothing else you will hear today.Anthony deejayed in New York City nightclubs such as Save the Robots, M.K., and The Plex, from 1984 to 1990. He was a resident DJ at The Plex at Columbia University for two years. He spent hours learning from legends such as David Mancuso, Larry Levan, and Frankie Knuckles. For example, Anthony would call Frankie Knuckles, get on his guest list at The World nightclub, and learn from him in the booth.
Anthony Hornof was the Chief Announcer at (Billboard reporting) WCBN-FM, Ann Arbor, from 1996-1997. In this role, Anthony would review and critique audition tapes, and train new disc jockeys. His show was written up in the July 1997 Ann Arbor Current magazine.
