About this Event
Artist Workshop: Painting from Photographs
Join us for a full-day oil painting workshop led by artist Pippa Hale-Lynch, where you’ll learn the tools to create your own painting from start to finish using photographic reference.
This will be the first of many workshops hosted at the tattoo studio Haus of Ode. We are offering this first session to tattoo artists and apprentices who are interested in learning about oil painting. Whether you're new to painting or want to strengthen your painting practice, this workshop will expand your creative skill set beyond the iPad/tattoo gun.
Throughout the day, Pippa will guide you step by step through the process of translating a photograph into an oil painting. You’ll learn how to work safely with oil paints, mix colour effectively, and apply techniques drawn directly from Pippa’s own professional practice.
The workshop fee includes all materials, your oil painting to take home, and a digital workshop booklet resource.
A one-hour lunch break will run from 1:00–2:00 pm. Lunch is not provided, but there are several cafés and shops nearby. Paid parking is also available close to the venue.
