Join artists Davina Semo and Summer Wheat for two in-depth conversations exploring their new exhibitions, presented as part of the SCAD Museum of Art’s fall season. Prologuing the first solo museum showcase of her sculptural bronze bells, Semo casts her distinctive perspective on the undertones and artistic potential of the resonant form. Alum Summer Wheat (M.F.A., painting, 2005) will reflect on the ideas she developed at SCAD and how they continue to influence her current practice, defined by the interplay of mediums to create dynamic visual tension between abstraction, figuration, flatness, and depth. This event is free and open to the public.
