Artist Caroline Slotte and co-curators Juliet Burrows and Leslie Ferrin invite members of the American Ceramics Circle and guests for a talk & reception at HB381 Gallery on Friday, January 22 from 1:00-2:30 PM, in context of the exhibition One Way or Another.

One Way or Another is a two-person exhibition featuring works by Caroline Slotte (b. 1975, Helsinki, Finland) and Paul Scott (b. 1953, United Kingdom), presented at HB381 in collaboration with Ferrin Contemporary. The exhibition explores the artists’ ongoing and lively dialogue, bringing together new and historical works which explore their mutual interest in historic transferware ceramics and the contemporary techniques of erasure and print. Leslie Ferrin will represent Paul Scott and discuss selected works from his New American Scenery series featured in the exhibition.

Curated by Juliet Burrows and Leslie Ferrin, One Way or Another opens January 9th and runs through February 28th. An illustrated catalogue with an essay by Glenn Adamson examines the differences and connections between the two art practices and a creative relationship that began over twenty years ago.
