Printmaker and Frederick Book Arts Member Carol Moore has kicked off 2025 with a selection of 14 fine art journals, all with hand felted wool covers inspired by her original prints inside! Carol will be at Frederick Book Arts Center on Saturday, April 5 to discuss her journals and what she hopes they will bring to those who eventually own them.Several of the journals in the collection are what Carol calls “Reflections Journals.” In addition to their hand felted covers, they have 12 numbered envelopes embellished
with monoprints or reproductions of her lithographs. They are intended to be annual journals to keep reflections, memories, prayers, intentions, and more throughout the Year.
Carol feels that creating fine art journals is a labor of love that will become a collaboration of souls.

Carol's talk will be one of two talks happening for our First Saturday Open House! Take a stroll downtown and come back at 2pm to hear Ray and Jill of Lead Graffiti discuss their letterpress exhibit currently displayed on our gallery walls.
