On October 15th, we are pleased to welcome one og FLASH ART Gallery artist Bettina Hutschek (Berlin and Gozo/Malta) presenting her typewritten drawings — graphic works that connect traditions of visual and concrete poetry with contemporary printmaking.Within her artist-talk Bettina will share her path as a visual artist and filmmaker who works with language and speech, showing particular projects, exhibitions and artictic reserches that she made. In her films, performances, and typewritten pieces, Bettina explores how language can shape and manipulate our perception of the world. Drawing on proverbs, dreams, overheard sentences, and texts she reads, she investigates themes of ideology, politics, and society.
“Drawing from observations, myths, and documentary material, I create narratives that blur the line between fact and fiction. Through layered storytelling, I open 'transitory spaces' for mythical and dreamlike reinterpretations of history and current events. My work transforms contemporary phenomena into poetic 'mythologies,' blending truth and fiction to question reality and history with irony and poetry,” Bettina says of her artistic approach.
Bettina’s works are part of collections at the Artothèque de Brest (France), Dommuseum (Vienna), Columbus Art Foundation (Ravensburg), as well as private collections in Germany, Malta, Italy, the USA, Austria, Switzerland, and Spain.

The educational program of the graphic gallery will be dedicated to topics related to the art of graphics.
The program reveals various blocks that will help you learn and understand the world of graphics.
We will regularly hold lectures on the history of graphics:
- "Masterpices on paper". We will look at individual examples of drawing and printing techniques mastery by various artists from different countries and eras
- "Masters of graphic art." We will talk about collections and collectors of graphics
- "Collections and collectors of graphics" is dedicated to the meeting of traditional and modern techniques of print and graphic art
- "Not just a drawing" is dedicated to the meeting of traditional and modern techniques of print and graphic art
- "Artist-talk" - dialogues with contemporary graphic artists presented in the FLASH ART gallery space.
Lectures and meetings take place in our venue every Wednesday at 19:00, and Saturday at 14:00 conducted in Estonian, English, and Russian
