Join artist Shane Charles for an in-gallery conversation on his exhibition .
Redbird is a sculptural system built from engineered steel and hemlock, activated through breath, salt, and erosion. Low to the ground, the installation carries traces of the body across oxidized steel panels, unfolding as both a structure and a living chemical process. At once architectural and intimate, Redbird transforms the gallery into a site where presence, decay, and endurance are held together.
This event offers a rare opportunity to hear Charles discuss the making of Redbird and its relationship to site, material, and performance. The conversation will be recorded. Seating is limited; RSVP required via Eventbrite.
