About this Event
Next Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 5 PM, renowned photographer Ami Vitale will be hosting an artist talk at PD NY. A Nikon ambassador, National Geographic photographer, writer, speaker, and documentarian, Ami has traveled to over 100 countries documenting everything from the heartbreaking realities of war as well as inspiring individuals creating change.
Ami's famous photo of Joseph Wachira and the world's last male northern white rhino, Sudan, was voted the Nat Geo photo of the decade in 2019. Her amazing capture of this tragic moment illustrates her talent for beautifully documenting even the most difficult times. Of course, not all of her photography documents hardship, as you can see below.
Ami will be talking us through her many travels and experiences with the various communities she's immersed herself in. From mud huts to war zones to accolades galore, she's lived an amazing life that we can all learn something from.
Tickets are sure to go fast, so be sure to snag yours before it's too late. We can't wait to see you all.
