If you were given the prompt to re-imagine—and re-image—the concept of 'home', how would you approach it? For the exhibition 'Mega Family—Imagining Home', fifteen photographers tackled this theme, producing a diverse series of new and recent photographic works. Let’s meet four of the artists first, and learn about their creative processes for the exhibition first.

How did anothermountainman arrive at his poetic abstraction of the time-worn adage 'home is where the heart is'? What was it like for Joseph Fung to lift the veil on the collective imagination and document the real home lives of former Hong Kong beauty queens? What emotions was So Hing Keung feeling when he clicked the shutter on the scenes in "Reappearance of Buddha's light? And how did Jimmy Lee interpret the reflection of the eyes through extreme close up photograph technique? Enjoy their stories, experience, and expertise in this first of a series of four artist talks at the 2024 HKIPF.
