In the Salon Gallery is “In Full Bloom,” showcasing the work of Jennifer Lugris from Rocklin, California, who reveals the challenges and joys of motherhood in her colorful paintings.
Jennifer Lugris uses images of mothers and children and blooming plants to reveal her personal journey. The blooming plants symbolize for Lugris the realization of potential. She celebrates that she has “bloomed” as a wife, mother, and artist. Lugris says of her work: “I paint vibrant images of plants, figures, and ordinary objects from my home to elevate subtle moments around me and celebrate things that are often taken for granted.”
