About this Event
Memphis artist Matthew Hasty's work is the focus of this hour-long conversation on Saturday, April 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Hear from the artist about his choice of subject matter: landscapes, cotton fields, the Mississippi River, hazy, sunny skies, and dreamlike vistas. Hasty will be interviewed by Memphis historian Willy Bearden for an hour of learning and insights into the world of an artist whose work has become synonymous with our city. L. Ross proprietor Laurie Brown will also join us to talk about her experiences as an art gallery owner and the future of art galleries. Several original paintings will be made available for purchase, too!
This seated event will take place in the Lord's Chapel at Elmwood Cemetery. Light snacks and beverages will be available.
