Artist Lecture Series: Jason FlackApril 3 | 7 p.m.
McGlothin-Street Theatre, Gregory Center
The Milligan Arts Council is excited to present the second of two lectures highlighting artists at the forefront of the flourishing art scene in Johnson City, Tennessee.
After the sudden death of his twin sister, Jessica, in 2010, Jason Flack turned to painting to channel his grief and to honor his sister. Flack is an urban folk and expressionist painter whose art features bold, colorful works that reflect his feelings, surroundings, and observations of society. A native of Johnson City, Flack is a beloved advocate for art in the Appalachian Highlands region, and he feels his paintings serve as a bridge between self-taught artists and academics.
