About this Event
Join us Saturday, December 7, for a dive into the dizzying and captivating panoramas created by photographer Ricardo Barros. His solo exhibition, An Entanglement of Space and Time, challenges our traditional understanding of photography depicting a moment in time. Each individual work is made of dozens of individual images, taken over hours or weeks, digitally stitched together. The finished photographs--including one of the installation of this very exhibition--distort our conventional perceptions of time, space, and how we engage with both.
Ricardo and curator of the Cantor Art Gallery at The College of the Holy Cross, Lauren Szumita, will discuss the different facets of his process, his inspirations, and the relativity of time and space as it relates to these images.
Parking is available at the Worcester Public Library (McGrath) Lot, Federal Plaza Garage, Worcester Common Garage, and Pearl-Elm Garage. Metered street parking is also available. On weekends, and on weekdays after 5:00 PM, visitors may park in the Printers Building parking lot free of charge. Please do not park in the lot across the street from the Printers Building; you will be immediately towed.
