About this Event
Artificial Intelligence. It's the topic everyone's talking about these days. But does it really pose a threat to writers and book publishers, or does it instead provide a welcome new opportunity to do things differently?
Dr Tom Christie, director of Extremis Publishing, will be talking about the many different ways that AI systems are helping authors and publishers alike, providing assistance and even encouragement to the writing world.
From restoring historical photographs to suggesting textual changes to prose, poetry, and drama, he will explore some of the latest applications of AI and the beneficial ways in which writers can harness these systems for positive ends, while also addressing the potential pitfalls wherever they exist.
This event is free but booking by Eventbrite is essential. Contact Central Library on 01382 431500 if you need booking assistance.
