John Silliman Dodge has been playing guitar, writing songs, and composing instrumental music for over 50 years. He was an ATCO Records recording artist in the 1980s, a radio program director throughout the 1990s and 2000s, and a Sirius/XM DJ during the 2000s. Today, he is a frequent performer in clubs in Portland, Oregon (his hometown) and on Cape Cod (his other hometown).

John has studied guitar with Tommy Emmanuel, Richard Thompson, and Pierre Bensusan, and his influences span classical, folk, rock, jazz, and pop. As a result, his performances showcase a wide range of styles—360 degrees of songwriting and guitar, from Bach to Hendrix to flamenco.
