📅 Wednesday 24th September | 🕔 5pm–7.30pm | 📍 Mid Norfolk Shooting GroundJoin us for a relaxed and friendly evening shoot in honour of Arthur Smith, who was a true part of the furniture here at Mid Norfolk, having been part of it from its very beginnings over 50 years ago. We’re happy to continue celebrating his legacy with this annual 50 bird sporting competition.
Originally launched while Arthur was still with us, the shoot gave him the chance to hand out the trophy himself, something he took great pride in. Now a memorial shoot, the trophy is awarded to the high gun on the night (but can’t be won two years in a row).

• 50 bird sporting layout
• Entries from 5pm (last cards out by 7.30pm sharp – no late entries)
• Self-scored on a trust basis
• Re-entries welcome
• Open to all – whether you’re a regular or brand new to the ground
The Bishy Baconbee Café will be open, serving up food and drinks all evening.
You’ll also have access to other stands across the ground, so you can enjoy the competition and get a few extra clays in too.
No booking needed, just turn up and shoot. We recommend arriving early to make the most of the evening.
