The Incubator Creative Hub proudly presents an annual collaborative art exhibition, showcasing artwork by students from Tauranga Girls' College for the ninth consecutive year. Artful Wāhine is an exhibition run by Tauranga Girls' College Art Department. The Exhibition is open to all ākonga and they can create an artwork of their own choosing or submit something they have created at school. It gives ākonga the opportunity to exhibit publicly and perhaps sell their work. It takes courage to show your artwork in a public setting and through this experience ākonga can build their confidence in their own artistic ability.
The displayed artworks encompass a range of mediums, each reflecting the unique perspectives and emerging talents of the young artists. This event not only celebrates the students' creativity but also provides a platform for the community to support and inspire the budding artists of tomorrow. The students will be on site during the weekends so drop by and give them some encouragement.
Sponsored by Gate Pa New World this exhibition launch event is on Wednesday 13th August - 5.30pm at The Incubator Creative Hub in The Historic Village, Tauranga.
On display in The People's Gallery - Toi ka rere from the 14th to the 31st of August, 10am – 3pm.
