Cynthia Rowley has been a standout figure in American fashion since the late 1980s, renowned for her whimsical, flirty, and adventurous designs. After studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she moved to NYC in 1988 to launch her eponymous label. Since then, Cynthia Rowley has grown her brand to include women’s apparel and accessories and more. Rowley’s fashion label took off with her signature blend of playful yet polished aesthetics inspired by a sense of fun, femininity, and freedom. Over the years, Rowley’s designs have continued to evolve, adapting to contemporary trends while still maintaining the unique whimsical flair that made her a household name.
Our Fashion Adventure Begins...We will meet a block away at the Laughing Man Cafe (184 Duane St), where renowned fashion illustrator Audrey Schilt, has her stylish work on display (See two of them on view with palettes of red, black and white.)Debbie, a good friend of Audrey, will tell you about her incredible career working with greats like Halston and Ralph Lauren. Enjoy a quick cup of coffee while we congregate at this popular eatery and then move on to visit the Cynthia Rowley locale together.
A Special Treat...Explore the Store & Visit Behind the Scenes! Next on the itinerary is a visit to the Cynthia Rowley headquarters (8 Jay Street) In addition to seeing the innovative displays of designer clothing, shoes, handbags, swimwear, home decor, and more, everyone will have the opportunity to shop till they drop with style.
