A great event for the city of Naples: the Maddalena, a masterpiece by Artemisia Gentileschi painted in the city of Naples in 1630, is back on display for all to see after 400 years. The work will be exhibited in one of the most beautiful places in the city: the magnificent and famous Monumental Complex of S. Chiara. From next July 19, in the wonderful spaces of the Monumental Complex of Santa Chiara, for the first time in the capital of Campania, the masterpiece by Artemisia Gentileschi will be exhibited, which, after a long restoration, returns to its ancient splendor. The exhibition is the first appointment of a rich exhibition program that will see the Monumental Complex of Santa Chiara as the venue for major exhibitions: from April 2025, on the occasion of the eight hundredth anniversary of the creation of the Canticle of the Creatures, for the first time an exhibition dedicated to Saint Francis and Saint Clare will be presented.
