This practical course takes students through every stage of bringing a costume idea to life - from early design concepts to the finished piece. Workshops cover essential skills such as ageing and distressing fabric, creating accessories and headwear, and experimenting with small-scale costume construction using mannequins or dolls. Students will research, design and develop their own ideas through mood-boards, sketches and fabric samples. The final project focuses on upcycling - transforming an existing or second-hand garment to express each student’s individual design style. Day & Time: Wednesday, 6-8pm
Dates: 14/01 - 11/03 (excluding half term)
Fees: £100, including all resources and a filmed portfolio piece
