Liz Scotta will be sharing her travel sketchbooks of France which turned into a book, Not Just Paris: Scenes from France and the current exhibition at our premises, Not Just Paris: Scenes From France and More, highlighting French-speaking locations with us. No artistic skills or mastery of French required - just bring yourself, friends, or a date for a memorable time. Take home your artwork and fond memories!
Expect to see myriad sketchbooks of various paper weights and colors as you will examine her favorite sketchbook size, 5x8" that easily fits in a cross shoulder bag. You will examine various size artists palettes in addition to a small one inside an Altoid's mint box. You will see professional supplies, i.e. watercolor pencils and crayons that can be used inside a museum with dry materials to adding water later. Participants will have time to use provided art supplies.
Let Liz motivate you to bring home a sketchbook next time you travel outside San Francisco. She will share how you can meet with local sketchers groups. Come to this workshop where Liz will additionally be selling and signing her 2023 book on France. Her exhibition of 51 watercolors, prints, and illustrations will be open to the public until July 31st, 2024.
