Art with Heart WorkshopSearching for creative activity to try on the Sunshine Coast? Join Art Workshops' beginner-friendly painting workshop and perfect the art of imperfect art for enjoyment. This workshop is for the artists who don’t think they are artists. It is for those who find creativity hard work, who don’t think they don’t are good at it or would love to but… They may remember when they last picked up a paint brush or another creative instrument – a very long time ago.
In this workshop you will be given the space to play in. To begin you will be offered reassuring words, rekindling of your creative memories and guidance to make a start, with at least two techniques and some principles from mindfulness and meditation to be generous and allowing with yourself.
“Judging your early artistic efforts is artist abuse”. Julia Cameron, The Artists Way.
Give yourself permission to be a beginner, paint without thinking and permission to paint the worst junk in the world for creative freedom. There is no right way, and there is no wrong way.
The session will be enhanced with sprinkles of poetry to encourage your spirit and meditative moments to unwind your mind. So, if you would like a soft spot to land away from the busyness of life and time out from critical thinking, come and join us.
Get started and meet like-minded people in a relaxed and fun environment. If you're looking for things to do on the Sunshine Coast with friends or birthday party ideas for a creative morning or afternoon out, why not join this class for beginners. Not only will you learn new inspiration from a practicing beginners-mind artist, but you'll also leave feeling more confident and creatively fulfilled too!
Explore your hidden passion for painting by making progress not perfection in a supportive space for new creatives. Materials provided for this workshop will be a canvas, small box, acrylic paint and paint pens. This is a workshop for beginners at heart and lovers of challenging the idea of what makes positive creativity and art.
“…learning to allow themselves to play is hard work.” Julia Cameron, The Artists Way.
