Would you like to join us on Thursday afternoons from 1pm-3pm to get creative with sewing, crazy patchwork and exploring art based textiles?We are running a brand new programme of workshops where you can relax while playing with fabric and experimenting with stitches, trims and mixed media (drawing, painting, printing……etc!)
If you have a sewing machine you would like to dust off and start using again, this could be the time for it to shine. We also have a sewing machine available here for you to use.
You can bring your own materials from your stash if you have one - and materials/supplies will also be provided. We aim to reduce, reuse, recycle and upcycle as much as possible.
You might want to make an artwork for the wall, an art cushion or a bag, upcycle an old lampshade, repair a piece of clothing or sit and crochet, knit and natter.
No previous experience is necessary as tuition will be provided if needed - and we can all learn from each other in our inspirational art studio.
Workshops will be facilitated by Amanda Stone who has a degree in Creative Arts and ‘A’ Level in Art Based Textiles.
Cost: £5 per session.
We currently have space for 6 people per 2 hour session.
Please note we will not be running on 28 May 2024 due to the Half Term Holiday.
We recommend to that you book in advance for at least 4 sessions, to secure your place and give you some continuity with your creations.
