Art Talk Tuesdays is an opportunity to gather in an intimate setting at the MacKenzie Art Gallery to learn about art and art history, meet new friends and exchange ideas. We will begin each drop-in session in the Gallery as we meet around one work of art found in the current exhibitions. Our Coordinator of Learning Initiatives will host conversations about the artwork, sharing stories and contextual information. Participants are encouraged to draw or write ideas during the discussion. These visual and written notes help us gain a deeper understanding of the artwork by recalling memories and generating new ideas. After our time in the exhibition space, our session will move to Craft Services by Crave Cafe, located inside the MacKenzie Art Gallery, for tea and coffee, as we continue our lively conversation in a relaxed setting.
