TWO DAY WORKSHOP
In the residential heart of Coburg, Art Summer School 2025 celebrates Australian artists like Howard Arkely, Jenny Watson, James Gleeson - and you.
Drawing (literally) from the neighbourhood, life models and/or your own creativity, you will take home art that you love.
The program will be in at least two spaces, with tutors Michael O’Hanlon (aka Eureka) and Thea Bates. Eureka will share his life drawing expertise with models, on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, Weather permitting we will also be drawing local houses. Thea will focus on techniques for drawing without a pencil and painting without a brush. Yes, that’s right! Working with pastels, crayons, charcoal, graphite and erasers on quality papers. You are free to choose and/or move between each tutor. A detailed program will be available shortly. Life Drawing opportunities with models will be on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
Your final montages will be on beautiful A3 papers, as new composites, using fragments from your preparatory works on paper.
