About this Event
The event is organised by BACKLIT and Nottingham Green Partnership and designed to bring creative practitioners together to discuss how we can collectively play a role in initiating positive environmental change. What role does art play and can creative communities help to build hope and further resilience towards climate issues.
As a result of the discussions and activities, we aim to collect different ideas, opinions, and actions. This will help to directly inform local businesses of the important value of the arts, in helping to change behaviour, visually engaged communication, and a better understanding of environmental issues locally and nationally.

In addition to his artistic practice, Ismail is also the Steering Group Member for Contemporary Visual Arts Network in the East Midlands. He is a Trustee at BACKLIT, an Artist member at Primary gallery and associate artist in the New Art Exchange Nottingham.
