Emmanuel Camacho Larios (he/they) is a first-generation, queer emerging artist based in Southern California. Their multidisciplinary practice explores intersecting identities through themes of ritual, labor, migration, mourning, and marginalization, using sculptural and performative methods to visualize and sonify these experiences.
Emmanuel’s current work blurs the boundaries between supernatural imaginaries and lived realities shaped by political borders. Centering corn husks, materials rooted in Mesoamerican and Latinx traditions, they create tapestries, sculptural forms, and ceremonial regalia that weave together community histories, cosmic narratives, and embodied memory.
Sandra Khalifa is a first-generation Southern Californian and the daughter of Egyptian immigrants. Her clay practice explores identity, memory, and what is lost, carried, or transformed across generations. Drawn to large-scale sculptures and vessels, she creates works that feel both intimate and expansive, treating clay as a malleable archive shaped by place, history, and lived experience.
Based in Los Angeles, Khalifa works at Sooki Studio in Frogtown and has studied at the Infinite School and Penland School of Craft. She holds a B.A. in History from UC Berkeley, where her research on race and immigration continues to inform her exploration of lineage and belonging.
Nolan Roy is a multifaceted artist with a diverse portfolio encompassing painting, photography, and filmmaking. He's recognized as an innovative director, cinematographer, and producer known for crafting captivating visual content across various media. His filmmaking experience spans narrative fiction, documentaries, fashion, and music videos. As a photographer, he has a strong command of lighting, composition, and digital editing tools like Lightroom and Photoshop.
Roy's artistic process is deeply personal and introspective. He uses his art to explore themes of self-discovery, expression, and emotional states. He even utilizes unconventional techniques, such as dipping fabric strips tied to a pole in paint and striking the canvas to create unique textural landscapes. This unorthodox method, inspired by the Japanese "Yamatoe-style" of painting, allowed him to create imagery that he believes couldn't have been achieved through any other means. This approach speaks to his experimental and innovative spirit, reflecting a continuous search for new ways to translate his inner world onto the canvas. His work reveals a journey of self-exploration and a commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
