Watercolor Start to Finish: Landscapes

You’ve got your paper, brushes, and paints. Now what? In this class we will work on a coastal landscape painting from start to finish. Students will learn how to transfer an image to watercolor paper, choose a harmonious color palette, apply washes and details to create a final, finished painting.
This is an Intermediate Beginner class; students should have some basic understanding of their watercolors and how they work. Drawing experience is nice, but not necessary.

Joy DiPaola is a watercolorist living and working in the Bay Area. Originally from New York City, Joy gets her inspiration from the San Francisco urban environment. She has invested the last 30 years of her life learning and experimenting with a variety of media including oils and various forms of fiber art. A self-taught artist, Joy's work has been featured as a cover piece for
Stillman & Birn's Nova Series sketchbooks.
