As an avid gardener, it was logical for me to take photographs of my garden through the seasons. My garden photography now extends to Cornell's many gardens and garden farther from home. Close-up and macro photography have permitted me to observe the life of plants and their insect visitors in ways I had not imagined and to see the natural world in a new way. I am inspired to capture the many-faceted beauty of plants as they respond to light and change with the seasons.
These orchid photographs showcase exotic plants from around the world. They were taken at Longwood Gardens, the New York Botanical Garden, and the bay window of my home
