Art Opening of works by Frederic Pissarro at Priscilla Fowler Gallery

World-recognized painter Frederic Bonin-Pissarro is known for his figurative expressive paintings which he describes as “positive images dealing with spirituality family friendship connectivity and togetherness.”

If the name Pissarro sounds familiar it’s because Frederic Pissarro is the great-grandson of Camille Pissarro the 19th century French Impressionist painter. 

With many successful years of selling to galleries and collectors throughout the United States Europe and Asia Pissarro is now featured in an upcoming show Life Lines at the Priscilla Fowler Fine Art Gallery a contemporary exhibition space in the center of the Las Vegas Arts District. 

The show runs from Friday March 5 2021 through Friday April 30 2021. Pissarro’s twenty pieces of art will share the space with several of gallery owner/artist Priscilla Fowler’s abstract mixed media works evoking natural forms.

In 2017 Pissarro relocated from Morehead Kentucky to Las Vegas to join the dynamic art and design faculty at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas as a full-time lecturer. 

Prior to living in Kentucky for sixteen years Pissarro plied his art and taught in Cincinnati where he was sponsored by billionaire businessman Carl Lindner Jr. who purchased over twenty of his artworks and displayed them in prominent hotels and restaurants. 

Pissarro trained at l’Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and earned a B.A. and M.A. from Morehead State University. 

Amidst the vibrant art scene in Las Vegas Pissarro enthusiastically follows his longtime passion: to create art that brings people together by focusing on what unites them a direct counterpoint to the violent and dividing times in today’s world.

Life Lines opens Friday March 5 2021 with hours from 6 to 10 pm accompanied by live music and drinks with a food truck outside.  Masks and social distancing are required and head count is limited.

The show continues through April 30 2021.
