ART MORTVEDT - Polar Pilot & Explorer will share the incredible story of flying his bright orange Cessna 185, the Polar Pumpkin, on skis to both the South and North Poles. Few pilots have taken on such challenges, and Art’s solo journeys capture not just the technical skill of bush flying but also the spirit of adventure and exploration that defines aviation at its best.
You’ll hear first hand about the planning, risks, and triumphs of flying over some of the most extreme environments on Earth. It’s a story that combines Idaho’s love of backcountry flying with the daring of Polar Exploration. Whether you’re a pilot, outdoor enthusiast, or simply curious, this evening promises inspiration and unforgettable stories.
