Calling all artists! These4walls is running a 3weeks of art lab on Wednesday nights. This 3 part series will explore collage with encaustic paint. All materials including base are included. Encaustic painting is an ancient technique that uses hot wax and pigment to create paintings on a surface. The wax is heated and applied to the surface, then fused in using a heat source. Let's discover this unique medium together, learn from each others successes, and explore the journey of something new in the format of a science experiment but with art. You will work on and finish 3 wooden panels, starting with collage and finishing with encaustic paint.
