Connect with nature and capture its beauty in your own mixed media art journal! This class invites students to take a peaceful walk outdoors before each session—gathering small natural treasures or snapping photos of inspiring finds. Think fallen leaves, acorns, unique sticks, or even a close-up photo of a bug or dew drops.
In class, you'll learn to creatively document your discoveries using a variety of artistic mediums like pencil, ink, and watercolor (mediums vary by session). Each class provides gentle guidance on composition, technique, and observation, helping you transform everyday finds into meaningful art.
What to Bring:
Small natural items you found (on the ground only — no picking or disturbing wildlife)
Printed photos of items that inspired you
A mixed media sketchbook (recommended size: A5 or approx. 5.7” x 8.3”)
Your favorite art supplies — or use ours!
Please Note:
Be respectful of nature. Only collect fallen items, and observe living plants and animals without disturbing them. Let’s leave no trace while finding inspiration all around us.
