Join Natural Resource Coordinator Lisa Sons in a step-by-step painting workshop on Illinois' state bird the cardinal in a winter woodland.
About this Event

It may be cold outside but you can come in and warm up by painting with acrylic paints on canvas with Natural Resource Coordinator, Lisa Sons. The Northern Cardinal is a beautiful pop of red amongst the snow-covered woodlands during an Illinois winter and this is exactly what we are going to paint today! Participants can bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during the class. This workshop is suitable for participants ages 16 and older. You won't need to have any prior painting experience.

All state park programs and events are free but donations to the Starved Rock Foundation which funds programs and events are always welcome!
