Making a mess is part of any creative process. In this hands-on workshop, dive into the world of Jackson Pollock's art style by making your very own splatter and drip technique painting.
Enjoy an informative lecture from a New York State Parks Educator about the life, history, and inspiration behind the iconic artist, Jackson Pollock, once a Long Island resident himself!Afterwards, partake in creating your own Pollock-inspired painting. Each participant will be provided with a canvas to create on. All materials will be supplied.
Class will be held in the Environmental Education and Resiliency Center in Field 1 of Hempstead Lake State Park. $4 per person upon arrival at the front desk. No parking fees in effect. Reservations are required for all programs, each person in your party needs a ticket. Space is limited. If you are unable to keep your reservation, please cancel so others may have the opportunity to attend. Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes early.
Please make sure to wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty as we will be working with paint!
