ABSTRACT COLLAGE
Create sleek, contemporary art panels by exploring positive and negative space through collage cut-outs and layered, modern color palettes. Participants will design dynamic compositions on cardboard or canvas boards while experimenting with shape, contrast, and balance. This accessible, hands-on workshop encourages creativity and exploration, making it perfect for all ages and skill levels.
This Art in the Park session will be led by CORRIE BECK, a multifaceted artist based in Winston-Salem. Beck works across a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, printmaking, textiles, and paper to produce abstract forms that experiment with pattern, color, and unique compositions. She previously taught printmaking at The Sawtooth School of Visual Art and produced work as an editorial coordinator and model for local photographers and businesses, where her love of design, expression, and creative collaboration collided. She enjoys working with recycled and found materials in her collage and art-based wearables.
