More than 40 artists from Art Group Nelson will showcase a wide range of artworks at our 53rd annual Art in the Park Exhibition on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 10am to 4 pm in the beautiful Queens Gardens.
This beloved summer artwork exhibition has been held every year without fail since 1971. This year’s event will feature a wide array of original artworks in a variety of media, including acrylics, oils, watercolours, pastels, pen and ink, coloured pencils, mixed media, fluid acrylics, and photography, as well as stunning pieces in wood and clay.
All artworks will be available for purchase, so bring cash or your EFT-POS card. In the event of bad weather, the exhibition will be rescheduled to Sunday, January 11, 2026.
The Art in the Park Exhibition attracts thousands of visitors from both the local community and beyond each year. Queens Garden is located next to Nelson’s acclaimed Suter Art Gallery, providing attendees with easy access and ample street parking. Entry points to the event are from Bridge, Hardy, or Tasman Street.
